Giovanni Ajans Casting and talent agency in Turkey is an actors’ agency that also operates within the fashion and modelling industry.
Access to our talent directory is restricted to casting directors and producers. A password is required.
While most of our actors and models are based in Istanbul, we also collaborate with talent across Turkey and in key international cities, including Dubai, London, and Manchester. Many of our talents are long-time residents of Istanbul or Türkiye.
For international productions, casting director Giovanni Lelli works closely with other agencies across Europe and the Middle East, maintaining direct relationships with experienced actors based abroad.
A key mission of our agency is to attract more international co-productions to Türkiye.
Who Can Apply
Opportunities exist for many, but not everyone is suited for dialogue-heavy roles or professional modelling.
Joining Giovanni Ajans is free of charge and does not require exclusivity. However, if you are already under an exclusive contract with another agency, we cannot represent you.
We do not charge application fees and strongly oppose any practice that places financial burden on aspiring talent. Agencies should help talent succeed—not profit from them upfront.
To apply, you must live in Istanbul and provide proper photos. Please avoid selfies, poor lighting, or low-quality images. We do not offer in-house photography for applicants, so initial images must match the style of those shown on our application page.
Casting always begins with photos. A strong image or setcard (photo + info) is the first step.
Video introductions, showreels, and self-tapes follow if requested.
Photos should be recent, clear, and honest. Studio shots are not always ideal. We recommend using a smartphone with natural light, a plain background, and careful framing.
For commercial castings, at least one smiling headshot showing teeth is essential.
This is a key requirement in many advertisement projects.
Though fashion models often avoid open smiles, we value authenticity and expression.
Professional models should update their portfolios with “polaroid” style images—minimal makeup, neutral background, and natural light.
Aspiring models should plan for one or more professional shoots to build a varied portfolio.
Talent and experience are important—but availability is critical.
Most jobs are part-time and require weekday flexibility. If you’re only available on weekends, opportunities will be limited.
Model shoots may have fixed times, but video shoots in Turkey can last 14–16 hours, not including travel. Professional models should be aware this may differ from international standards.
Overtime is not always guaranteed. Flexibility is highly valued.
